Dr. Cindy S. Matteson, OD

Dr. Cindy Matteson graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She received her doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Matteson is an INFANT SEE Doctor and a member of the American Optometric Association and The California Optometric Society. She is married to Dr. Most and they have three grown children. She volunteers much of her spare time with Union City American Little League. Dr. Matteson is available Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Dr. Joseph F. Most, OD

Dr. Joseph Most graduated from Boston University and received his doctorate from The Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Matteson and Most opened the practice on University Ave in 1983. He specializes in contact lenses including complex cases.

Joe loves to play tennis and ski in his free time. He volunteers for "Meals on Wheels" and a variety of vision screenings for the poor.  Dr. Most is available on Thursdays- Saturdays.

Mr. Michael Peterson, ABOC Optician

Michael was born and raised in the Bay Area. He is a licensed A.B.O. optician and will help you find the best frame and lenses for your prescription. He joined our practice in 2000. Mike is married and has two grown children. Mike is usually available Tuesday through Saturday.

Mr. Stuart Esbit, ABOC Optician

Stuart is a licensed (ABOC) optician who joined our practice in May of 2001. He has been helping people see better for over 20 years by using the most advanced lens technology and latest frame fashions. Stuart was born and raised in So. California where he owned and operated Better Vision and Hearing Aid Center in Pasadena California. He has an adult son. Stuart is available on Saturdays.

Ms. Jessica P.

Jessica is an optometric technician and contact lens trainer. She has been with our practice since 2007. She is married and has a young daughter and two step children. She is a graduate of San Jose State University, with a bachelors degree in Psychology. She has a good eye for fashion and enjoys helping you pick out a great eyeglass frame or sunglasses.

Jessica is avaiable Monday-Friday most weeks.

Ms. Cindy Morales

Cindy is an optometric technician and receptionist. She joined our practice in 2008 and is pursuing a nursing degree. She likes to help patients find frames that suit them. Cindy is able to speak Spanish fluently amd works most Saturdays and  Mondays.

Ms. Justine

Justine is an optometric technician and contact lens trainer. She joined our practice in 2009 after completing her bachelor of Science in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Justine has spent time in the Philippines doing volunteer work supporting the health needs of the impoverished population. 

Justine has recently left our practice to go back to college. She will be greatly missed.

Mr. Daniel J. Most ABO

Daniel is Dr. Matteson and Dr. Most's oldest son and is a licensed ABO optician.

Daniel has a good eye for helping you pick out stylish eye-wear. He is a graduate of Norwich University and is a pilot. Other than working as an optician in our office, he teaches flying and flies advertising banners.
